Odyssey: A Dark and Stormy Night: The Birth of Frankenstein

More than a century before Boris Karloff brought the monster to film came Mary Shelley and her novel. The origins of this infamous monster can be traced to a gathering along the shores of Lake Geneva. It was here, in the summer of 1816, following an afternoon reading German ghost stories, that British poet Lord Byron issued a challenge to his guests to compose their own supernatural tale. Join us tonight to explore how and why this amazing story has affected us until this very day.
