What better way to celebrate Halloween than with spookily good chili and sweet treats while raising funds for a great cause? The Johns Hopkins University United Way Campaign is here, and with it comes the 12th annual Johns Hopkins University Chili Cook-off and Dessert Bake-off. New this year, in addition to prizes for the top chili and dessert categories, is an award for the best vegetarian chili—so break out your crockpots and baking pans, and enter your tasty treat by registering here by Friday, Oct. 24.
The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, in the Glass Pavilion, Homewood campus. All entrants will receive two free admissions to the event, two raffle tickets for a chance to win a variety of JHU items, and a "Live United" T-shirt.
If you are interested in volunteering to serve chili or baked goods, please contact Kathleen Crostic at kcrostic@jhu.edu or 443-997-7000.
Thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Johns Hopkins Federal Credit Union, all funds raised will benefit the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund through the Johns Hopkins University United Way Campaign. To register, click here or email kcrostic@jhu.edu.
