Nominate a senior to serve on the 2015 Senior Class Gift committee

I would love your help in recommending current seniors for the Senior Class Gift committee. We had a great committee last year, and I know there are a lot of wonderful students in the Class of 2015.

The Senior Class Gift campaign begins to build a legacy of alumni engagement and philanthropic giving by asking seniors to make their first donation to Johns Hopkins University. It is often expected that the senior class gift be something tangible, like a bench or flagpole. To have a more lasting and profound impact on the Johns Hopkins community, seniors are asked to make a monetary gift of $20.15 in honor of their class year to support the Hopkins Fund, a student group, varsity sport, or academic department.

Senior Class Gift committee members are the leaders of the Senior Class Gift campaign. Committee responsibilities include: +Soliciting fellow classmates for donations
+ Attending weekly committee meetings
+ Planning and staffing monthly Senior Class Gift events
+ Making a gift of $20.15 or greater
+ Representing the Office of Annual Giving at various events

I am looking for students who are: + Members of the Class of 2015
+ Proactive and outgoing
+ Personable and well-connected among their peers
+ Willing and able to commit two hours per week to the committee
+ Interested in gaining hands-on experience in fundraising and event planning

For each student you wish to nominate, please send me his/her name and email address. I will be compiling names and inviting interested students to apply to the committee.

Please send me your nominations by Wednesday, Oct. 15.

Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank you very much for your help.

Sincerely,

Laura Renaud Assistant Director, Annual Giving Renaud@jhu.edu
