We'll examine their work prior to their teaming up, and then we'll concentrate on their amazing collaborations, with an extraordinary string of Broadway musicals in the 1940s and 1950s, including Oklahoma, Carousel, South Pacific, The King and I, and The Sound of Music. Their shows and films garnered an astounding 34 Tony Awards, 15 Academy Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, and two Grammy Awards.
