To celebrate 40 years of art making at Johns Hopkins, the Homewood Art Workshops have invited 40 terrific artists to come paint across the Homewood campus, BMA Sculpture Garden, and Wyman Park Dell on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Most of the artists are from this area, but a few are coming from as far away as Ohio and New Mexico to participate. Our talented alumni and current students will be represented, too. Raoul Middleman (JHU Class of '55) will be our honorary artist-in-residence and will do the kickoff painting demonstration on the Beach from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The Plein Air Paint-Out is open to the public and will be the first of its kind held in the heart of Baltimore City. Pick up your map, drawn by cartoonist/HAW instructor Tom Chalkley, at Mattin Center's F. Ross Jones Building and join the fun!
