Latino Alliance: First general meeting

We are happy to announce the first general meeting of the Latino Alliance. It will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept.17, in the Bloomberg School of Public Health Building, Room E9519, 615 N. Wolfe St.

Please spread the word to your colleagues, students, and friends to come out and support us. During the meeting we will discuss plans for the upcoming academic year. We are looking for leadership, your support, and your ideas at the meeting.

This alliance was created to help increase awareness of Latinos across all campuses of Johns Hopkins. We are grateful for the support and enthusiasm of our members this past academic year and look forward to continued support and expansion this year.

Please let us know if you can join us; a light lunch will be served during the meeting. Click here to sign up

The Latino Alliance is looking to support activities during Hispanic Heritage Month and other activities for the upcoming year.

As many of you know, we are in the midst of Hispanic Heritage Month and the Latino Alliance wants to help advertise and/or support your planned activities! Our website and listserve will help you reach a larger audience as well as establish closer communication among all Hopkins groups organizing activities to celebrate this important month. The Latino Alliance will consider offering funds to help your organization sponsor these activities.

Please contact Chris at cromero5@jhim.edu and let us help and support you!

We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 17!
