Center for Social Concern: Conference information

The CSC is hosting its inaugural CSC Leadership Conference for its student community service organizations. Student leaders will network with other student leaders, attend workshops on volunteer management and community engagement, and meet with student board liaisons. The theme for this year's conference is It Starts with Us.

Each group must send two members. The morning session will cover CSC group policies and core values. The afternoon will include meeting with other student organizations in similar issue areas and workshops on volunteer recruitment and retention; diversity, power, and privilege; youth classroom management; and sustaining volunteer organizations. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

The closing keynote speakers are Dr. Nina Vasan and Mackenzie Lowry, author and contributing author of the Amazon best-selling book Do Good Well. The authors will also be available for a book signing after the event.
