Roquan Smith of the Baltimore Ravens visits Henderson-Hopkins

Students at the Eager Park school were treated to a visit with the star linebacker, who gave out books and talked about the value of team work

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Roquan Smith visited the Henderson-Hopkins School in Eager Park on Dec. 22 to meet with students before winter break and share some words of wisdom about working hard and making good decisions.

The Henderson-Hopkins students were treated to quality time with Smith, whose first stop was reading picture books to the kindergartners. He then talked with a group of 33 middle schoolers who received Ravens jerseys with Smith's number on the back. Smith also brought the team's bookmobile, which delivers books to children living in under-resourced communities to increase interest in reading.
