Students show off their artistic talents at OMA's second annual Black Heritage Showcase

The Office of Multicultural Affairs sponsored the second annual Black Heritage Showcase on Saturday. The event brought together community groups, student performers, and historically black fraternities and sororities for an evening of singing, dancing, stepping, and strolling in a celebration of black culture and heritage. Students and community members performed stand-up comedy, a cappella, poetry readings, hip-hop, dance, and more.

Performers at the showcase included Kappa Alpha Psi, AMPlified, Carribbean Dream, Aaron Harris, Ameerah Bello, the Gospel Choir at Johns Hopkins, Abena Ababio, Sigma Gamma Rho, the Johns Hopkins Melanotes, Tropical Xpressionz, Tejiri Smith, Noah Wright, Mya Thomas, and Temps d'Afrique.
