Weekend picks: Johns Hopkins events roundup for Oct. 20-22

There are a handful of things to do this weekend. These are some of our favorites.

Fall break is upon us.

Hopefully you've dug out your coat for the chilly Baltimore mornings by now, and are heading to visit family or friends during the three-day weekend.

But, if you're still on campus, here's a shortlist of things to do.

ARTS + CULTURE

'School of Rock' live reading
Saturday at 6 p.m. | 2640 Space
The JHU Film Society will host a live reading of Richard Linklater's School of Rock. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a 6:30 show. It will feature local all-stars, but have limited seating. Bring blankets and pillows for comfort and a few extra bucks to buy a baked good.

ATHLETICS

Hopkins football vs. Gettysburg
Friday at 7 p.m. | Homewood Field
Grab a jacket for this night game where the Blue Jays will take on the Bullets in a Centennial Conference matchup.

Men's water polo vs. Navy
Saturday at 6 p.m. | White Athletic Center
This is the final home match for the Blue Jays so don't miss out on the action while they battle the Midshipmen. Recently, two Hopkins students were honored by the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference.

GOOD OL' FUN

Cookies and Crafts
Friday, 9 p.m. to midnight | The LaB
Kick off your Fall Break with cookie decorating and sand art—brought to you by JHUnions. While supplies last.
