For the baseball powers-that-be interested in speeding up the game, this Division III umpire has a fresh idea: Hoverboards.
This short video, tweeted by the Johns Hopkins University baseball team, shows the brilliant ump (who presumably is not a Fitbit fan) cruising over to his position behind third base at JHU's Babb Field.

Umpire of the future does not walk—umpire of the future rolls.
You do you, guy. Keep on rollin'.
Editor's note: We're told that hoverboard ump was not technically umpiring, but rather was instructing high school umpires during the Blue Jays intrasquad scrimmage—none of which makes him any less awesome.
