Schneider makes 17 saves as Blue Jays edge Mids 6-5

The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team got four goals from Brandon Benn and held on for a 6-5 win at Navy on Friday night.

The sixth-ranked Blue Jays (9-3), who never trailed, won their fourth straight game, with the past three wins coming in a seven-day stretch. JHU led 4-3 at halftime and 6-3 midway through the third quarter, then withstood a late rally by the Midshipmen (4-8). Goalkeeper Eric Schneider came up big with 17 saves for the Blue Jays.

Hopkins also got goals from Ryan Brown—his team-best 33rd on the season—and Holden Cattoni.
