Johns Hopkins Purchasing Services has negotiated a new service agreement with Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC, covering new and existing Zeiss light and electron microscopes across the university.
A special Zeiss Master Service Pricing Agreement is now available for the university community at a 20 percent discount for a Protect Service Agreement on light and electron microscopes. Previously, the average discount was 12 percent.
Purchasing Services negotiated the agreement as part of the multiyear Administrative Excellence Initiative, designed to improve administrative service levels, curb spending growth, and allow the university to devote more resources to its core research, education, and service missions.
Benefits of the new Zeiss agreement include significant savings, service provided by factory-trained experts, priority service scheduling, and fixed costs.
The university has a dedicated Zeiss service agreement sales specialist to discuss service needs and answer questions. Contact Audrey Bice at audrey.bice@zeiss.com or 914-681-7798, or Lance Tieperman, the university's Zeiss Microscopy category manager in Purchasing Services, at ltieper1@jhu.edu or 443-997-5652.
