A slow-moving Nor'easter dumped about a foot of snow on the Johns Hopkins Homewood campus this week, and many JHU students headed for the hills to take advantage of an unexpected winter break.
Classes were canceled on Thursday and Friday, leaving plenty of time for sledding, throwing snowballs, and constructing snow forts. If you're in to that sort of thing.
The snowfall total was the largest in Baltimore since February 2010.
