Johns Hopkins rings in Persian New Year

Johns Hopkins students celebrated Nowruz on Friday. Nowruz is the celebration of Persian New Year and is always concurrent with the first day of spring, signifying a time when the bitter cold days end and beautiful green days arrive. The annual banquet, organized by the JHU Iranian Cultural Society, included traditional and pop Persian music, traditional dance performances, food, and DJ music for dance.
