JHU men's lacrosse starts fast, tops UMBC

Palmer nets hat trick in 13-7 win; Blue Jays 11-0 all-time vs. Retrievers

The Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse team scored the first five goals of the game, and eight different players scored as the Blue Jays topped UMBC 13-7 on Friday evening at Homewood Field.

Zach Palmer tallied three goals—including a behind-the-back score—and two assists for sixth-ranked JHU (5-1), and Wells Stanwick added two goals and four assists. Johns Hopkins improved to 11-0 all-time against the Retrievers (1-4).

JHU visits No. 12 Syracuse on Saturday at 1 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
