Johns Hopkins students will dance the night away for a good cause Saturday at the third annual JHU Dance Marathon, an overnight dance event that raises money for the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.
Participants pledge to stay on their feet and dance all night, from 8 p.m. until 4 a.m., and can look forward to a night filled with DJs, games, blacklights, musical performances, giveaways, raffles, food and more.
Last year, 147 dancers participated and collectively raised more than $11,000 for the Children's Center. The executive board for Dance Marathon has set a fundraising goal of $17,000 for this year's event, which begins at 8 p.m. in the Glass Pavilion on the Homewood campus.
