JHU water polo rallies for 14-13 win vs. No. 14 Navy

Wes Hopkins scores decisive goal with 56 seconds to play

Sophomore Wes Hopkins scored three goals, including the game-winner with 56 seconds to play, as the Johns Hopkins water polo team upset 14th-ranked Navy 14-13 on Wednesday afternoon.

Senior Kielan Crow netted four goals for the Blue Jays (18-5), who defeated the Midshipmen for the first time since 2008. Senior Ross Schofield chipped in three goals, the last of which tied the score at 13 with 2:26 to play.

Navy fell to 16-2 with the loss.

Johns Hopkins returns to the pool Saturday for two matches—at Bucknell at noon and at 16th-ranked Princeton at 7:30 p.m.
