Senior Jonathan Rigaud ran for 144 yards and three touchdowns and the Johns Hopkins football team picked up a school-record 40 first downs in a 49-15 win against Moravian at Homewood Field on Saturday. It was the 150th career victory for Johns Hopkins head coach Jim Margraff.
Jason Blades, JD Abbott, and Brandon Cherry each ran for a score, and quarterback Robbie Matey connected with Daniel Wodicka on a touchdown pass as the Blue Jays (3-0) piled up a season-best 582 yards of total offense.
On defense, JHU limited Moravian (1-2) to 18 yards on 17 rushing attempts and 189 yards of offense overall. Senior Taylor Maciow led the defense with seven tackles, including two sacks.
The win was the Blue Jays' 17th in a row in the regular season, a streak that dates back to 2010.
Johns Hopkins visits Muhlenberg in Allentown, Pa., next Saturday at 2 p.m.
