Johns Hopkins volleyball off to best start in program's history

Blue Jays win 4 matches at Washington & Lee Invitational, improve to 8-0

The Johns Hopkins volleyball team won all four of its matches at the Washington & Lee Invitational in Lexington, Va., over the weekend, giving the Blue Jays (8-0) the best start in the history of the program.

JHU won 12 of 13 sets in defeating North Carolina Wesleyan, Southern Virginia, Lynchburg, and Washington & Lee at the event. Freshman Jasmine Warmington led the Blue Jays with 40 kills and earned tournament MVP honors. Senior Amelia Thomas collected 48 digs and was selected to the all-tournament team.

Johns Hopkins has won 21 consecutive regular-season matches dating back to Sept. 27, 2011.
