Third-ranked JHU women's soccer team blanked by No. 5 Messiah

4-0 loss ends Blue Jays' 31-game regular-season winning streak

Senior Alex Brandt scored two goals to lead fifth-ranked Messiah to a 4-0 win against No. 3 Johns Hopkins at Homewood Field on Wednesday night, ending the Blue Jays' 31-game regular-season winning streak.

Senior goalkeeper Meredith Maguire had four saves for JHU, which fell to 2-1 on the season. Messiah upped its record to 2-1.

The Blue Jays return to action Friday against No. 2 Emory in Raleigh, N.C. Emory defeated Messiah 2-1 in overtime earlier this season.
