The Johns Hopkins women's volleyball team defeated Stevenson in five sets to win the Greg Giovanazzi Memorial Tournament at Goucher on Sunday afternoon, capping a perfect opening weekend for the Blue Jays. JHU also picked up wins against Cabrini, host Goucher and Hiram to begin the season 4-0.
Freshman Jasmine Warmington was named the tournament's most valuable player after collecting 48 kills in the four matches. Fellow freshman Carolyn Zin, who had 78 assists in the event, earned all-tournament team honors.
The Blue Jays return to action Friday at the Washington & Lee tournament in Lexington, Va.
