General Resources

Open Access:

  • The JHU Libraries have established two mechanisms for sharing relevant articles, data and software through dedicated collections within the institutional repository, JScholarship, and the JHU Data Archive. The JHU Data Archive will feature deposits of data and software in the COVID-19 collection and provide a record that makes your data and software easier to find and cite. Please contact JHU Data Services at dataservices@jhu.edu to get your deposit started or refer to our archiving web page for detailed information about the process.
  • Through modifications to the Public Access Submission System (PASS), faculty or their proxies can now submit articles flagged specifically for this JHU COVID-19 collection. Additionally, by working with Open Access Button and an API from Our Research (formerly known as Unpaywall), submitters now have the option to use automatically identified open access copies of their manuscripts (if available), eliminating the need to find and upload local copies of their author accepted manuscripts. If you need help with your submission using PASS please contact either Robin Sinn, Sheridan Libraries (rsinn@jhu.edu) or Caitlin Carter, Welch Medical Library (ccarte63@jhmi.edu).

COVID-19 Animal Models at JHU

The SARS-CoV-2 animal model data that are emerging will help JHU researchers select the most relevant COVID-19 animal models. The COVID-19 Animal Models team is tracking all planned JHU COVID-19 studies that require animal models because the logistics of performing in vivo studies will be complex. The Biosafety office, the ACUC, RAR, and SKCCC Animal Resources, will work together to facilitate these studies in JHU Animal Biosafety Level (ABSL)-3 facilities. The team is also catalyzing collaborations and interdisciplinary approaches by connecting investigators to other research groups at JHU.

If you are interested in pursuing COVID-19 animal models, please fill out this form.
