What to Expect from AI in 2025 and Beyond
Tuesday, Dec. 17 | 11 a.m. EST
The session will highlight anticipated developments in artificial intelligence research and policy.
Speakers will include:
- Mark Dredze, who develops statistical models of language with applications to social media analysis, public health and clinical informatics. He is interim deputy director for the JHU Data Science and AI Institute.
- Bart Paulhamus is a principal staff researcher and chief of Johns Hopkins’ Applied Physics Laboratory’s Intelligent Systems Center. The goal of the center is to conduct pioneering research, combining artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and robotics.
- Suchi Saria, director the Machine Learning and Healthcare Lab and founding research director of the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare. She uses machine learning to pioneer ways to diagnose and treat patients. Algorithms she created are being used in hospitals to save people from contracting sepsis.
