Have an ice day!

After weeks of anticipation, the Johns Hopkins ice rink opened Tuesday to skaters and observers on the university's Homewood campus. The 6,000-square-foot rink, built atop the university's tennis courts, will operate through Feb. 27.

The rink and rental skates are free for all participants, but advance reservations for 90-minute sessions are required and can be made through an online registration system. Skates are limited to first 100 skaters on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are required to complete an online waiver as well to enter the facility.

Free hot chocolate and other après skate concessions are available at the rink.

See you on the ice!
