Hoptoberfest returns to Homewood

A full week of fall fun kicked off on Monday with a plethora of pumpkins on the Beach

Approximately 850 pumpkins popped up on the Beach on Monday to kick off Hoptoberfest 2021, a weeklong celebration of all things fall. After a pandemic pivot to virtual programming last year, the annual tradition is back on the Homewood campus with in-person events, starting with the pumpkin patch, featuring treats and a pumpkin-decorating contest. The fun overflowed into the community with about 200 leftover pumpkins donated to local elementary schools. More Hoptoberfest happenings are on tap this week, including a haunted house, a petting zoo, glow yoga, field day, a talent show, a screening of The Conjuring, and a concert Friday night on the Beach featuring Zella Day.

This festive fall tradition is supported by the Hopkins Parents Fund.
