Designing Assignments in the Age of AI

Join the Faculty Forward Academy at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering Center for Teaching and Learning Design for a workshop on "Designing Assignments in the Age of AI." In the age of artificial intelligence (AI), we must rethink assignment design to address AI resistance as well as integrate valuable AI tools to promote practical experience. This session will explore methods of designing assignments that center human skills and incorporate AI use. The presenters will demonstrate running an AI prompt to generate ideas for AI resistant activities that align with course needs. Participants will pair with peers to brainstorm how a sample assignment might be revised to emphasize human skills and incorporate AI.
