Immunology Club Virtual Speaker Series: John Hickey
Description
John Hickey, an assistant professor of biomedical engineering at Duke University, will give a talk titled "Spatial Systems Biology Technologies for Immunoengineering" for the Immunology and Immunoengineering Club.
Hickey obtained his PhD in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins where he developed magnetic nanoparticles for rare antigen-specific T-cells and designed hydrogels for adaptive T-cell therapy. The Hickey lab currently focuses on understanding how complex spatial networks of cell interactions provide function in healthy tissue, disease, and how they can be exploited therapeutically.
