Just in time for Spring or Summer 2025 planning, Hopkins Office for Undergraduate Research (HOUR) offers two weeks of hands-on, virtual workshops to help Johns Hopkins undergrads get started on their research journey. Go beyond what's offered on HOUR's website and get customized, hands-on experience with the resources, tips, and best practices HOUR offers in these workshop sessions.
This session focuses on "Identify and Secure Fall/Spring Research Experiences." There are two opportunities to attend this session on Nov. 11 and 12.
Topics:
- Clarify your 'must haves' and 'dealbreakers' before you begin your search.
- Tips for optimizing your search in ForagerOne.
- Where/how to find more information about potential mentors and their projects.
- Best practices for contacting potential mentors.
- Manage the process … and your expectations.
Please note:
- All sessions are virtual in the Eastern time zone.
- Sessions include hands-on activities for you to conduct your own individualized searches/editing.
- These sessions will not be recorded.
- Registration required for each session.
