Description
The Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) Veterans Employee Resource Group invites the Johns Hopkins community to a Veterans Day celebration at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda on Nov. 11. The event will feature a keynote speech from Colonel Mauro Sarmiento followed by a lunch.
Since retiring from the Air Force in 2019 after 30 years of service, Sarmiento has been working as a physician in Maryland at Sibley Memorial Hospital and Suburban Hospital, including as the former chief medical officer for Corizon Health. He is also the founder of Mobile Medical Professionals LLC, an organization that improves the access and quality of care available to high-risk patient populations.
This event will be held both in-person and virtually, and is part of JHM's 2024 Veterans Appreciation Week.
