Description

Effective data management can increase the pace of the research process, contribute to the soundness of research results, and facilitate data sharing at the end of a project. Join Johns Hopkins Data Services for an overview of best practices on how to manage your data so that it can be shared outside of your immediate research group, such as in a data repository to comply with funders' and journals' data sharing requirements.

This seminar is for faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students from all disciplines. This course does not focus on creating or using any particular data collection or analysis tool (e.g., REDCap, SPSS) but discusses data management at a general level.

Note: This presentation is similar to Data Services' prior webinar titled Best Practices for Data Management and Sharing but has an additional emphasis on preparing your data for sharing via a repository.
