Description

Did you know? Depression is among the leading causes of disability and affects over 280 million people worldwide. Managers are encouraged to join JHEAP at noon on Wednesday, October 16, for a live training session to improve your ability to recognize depression and refer employees to resources for managing depression.

Topics of discussion will include the causes, symptoms and impact of depression, and ways to seek and receive help. Though depression can be reliably diagnosed, few of those affected receive the proper treatment. Participants will learn the barriers to treatment and ways to overcome them for a happier, healthier life.

Register in advance here.

The Johns Hopkins Employee Assistance Program (JHEAP) provides JHU employees and their household members 24/7 access to confidential counseling and referral services for help with stress at work or at home, emotional distress, a difficult life transition, or other challenges.
