Free and Open Source Project Fund Summative Event
Description
Join the Johns Hopkins University Open Source Programs Office for a celebration of open-source innovation and collaboration, the culminating event of their Free and Open Source Software Project Fund, a community-driven program providing direct support to open-source practitioners on campus.
Event highlights:
- Brief presentations from each funded project, showcasing their achievements and impact:
- Inspiring talks from Joshua M. Greenberg (program director of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation), Andrew Wichmann (senior intellectual property and licensing manager at Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures), and Phillip Spector (Office of the President, Johns Hopkins University)
- Ample networking opportunities to connect with open-source software practitioners and innovators from across Johns Hopkins
Transportation
There is ample free parking available at 6225 Smith Ave. and regular shuttle service from Mason Hall on the Homewood campus to Mount Washington. An additional shuttle will be provided on Oct. 7 with stops at the Welch Medical Library on the East Baltimore campus at 12:15 p.m. and the Beach on the Homewood campus at 12:30 p.m. The route will run in reverse after the event.
