Ira Helfand, a leading figure on the International Steering Group for the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, Nobel Peace Prize winner, and past president of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, will discuss the escalating threat of nuclear war, its catastrophic consequences, and what we, as citizens and health professionals, can do to prevent this global disaster. Don't miss this vital conversation.

This event is hosted by the Center for a Livable Future, Center for Humanitarian Health, Center for Public Health and Human Rights, and the Bloomberg School of Public Health Student Assembly.

Note: There are two events happening on Sept. 23, one at the East Baltimore campus at noon, and another at the Homewood campus at 5 p.m.
