Description
Join the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Department at the 2024 Roger L. McMacken Jr. Lecture presented by Carl Wu, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of chromatin biology and biochemistry at Johns Hopkins University, followed by a reception for in-person attendees.
This is a hybrid event; attendees may register to attend in person or via Zoom.
The Roger L. McMacken Jr. Lecture honors McMacken's legacy in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (BMB) Department. In his over 40 years at the school, McMacken touched the professional and academic lives of scores of students, faculty, and trainees. His talent for teaching, research, and guidance helped make BMB the department it is today. To honor his legacy, the McMacken family, the department, and others who Roger McMacken impacted, established the Roger L. McMacken Jr. Lectureship and Award, which supports a guest lectureship and provides an award to a junior BMB faculty member studying viral or prokaryotic DNA replication or a related area.
