Installation of Randal Burns

Please join the Whiting School of Engineering in celebrating the installment of Randal Burns, professor of computer science, as the inaugural Bill and Lisa Stromberg Department Head.

The event will be livestreamed for those unable to attend in person.

The Bill and Lisa Stromberg Headship was established in 2019 through the generosity of Bill, Engr '82, and Lisa Stromberg. Bill Stromberg graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor's degree in mathematical sciences in 1982. He has served as a university trustee since 2014 and is the current chair of the Whiting School advisory council. Lisa graduated from Goucher College in 1983 and has served as the Goucher College board of trustees chair since 2021.

The Strombergs are longtime supporters of the university and the Whiting School, providing resources to the Department of Computer Science and to the athletics programs.
