Description
The Johns Hopkins University Black Student Union hosts a panel discussion on Black Radicalism and Revolution through a 1970s lens, featuring guest speakers Jasmine Blanks Jones, executive director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Social Concern; Lawrence Jackson, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of English and History; Vesla Weaver, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Sociology; and Zophia Edwards, assistant professor of sociology.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to write letters to Black women incarcerated in Baltimore-area prisons as an act of decarceral community care.
