Film Screening: "The Oil Machine"

Description
The Environmental Science & Studies program would like to welcome all to a pre-release screening of the documentary The Oil Machine. After the documentary, the production team will lead a Q&A session. Refreshments will be served.
The Oil Machine explores sustainability themes such as climate action, responsible consumption, equity, and justice through a unique lens. It discusses the United Kingdom's economic, historical, and emotional entanglement with North Sea Oil and highlights how deeply oil is embedded in society, from high finance to cheap consumer goods.
This event is hosted in accompaniment with the release of the university's draft Climate Action and Sustainability Plan, outlining Johns Hopkins' vision for a healthy, just, and sustainable future.
