Description
The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is honored to welcome Dr. Sudip Parikh, CEO of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and executive publisher of the Science family of journals, for a virtual fireside chat to discuss the role of artificial intelligence in advancing research, the next generation of scientific leaders, and the future of science in the United States. AAAS is the world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society, publisher of the Science family of journals, and a leading champion in advancing scientific excellence and achievement for 150 years.
Theodore DeWeese, interim dean of the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, will host the conversation with Dr. Parikh as part of the Johns Hopkins Health Policy Forum. The discussion will reflect on ways to build trust among scientists and communities, counter misinformation, catalyze science-informed decisions, and promote policies that enable quality science.
The conversation will be available via livestream and shared via recording after the event.
The Health Policy Forum series is jointly hosted by the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the School of Nursing, the Carey Business School, and Johns Hopkins Medicine. The forum provides an opportunity for Johns Hopkins faculty, students, and operational experts to engage with policy makers and explore contemporary health policy approaches.
