The Johns Hopkins Center for Women's Health, Sex, and Gender Research hosts their annual symposium with a focus this year on "Women's Health in Acute and Long COVID-19."
Speakers will include:
- Keynote speaker Andrea Edlow, associate professor of obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive biology at Harvard Medical School, and director of obstetric research at Massachusetts General Hospital, who will present "Sex Differences in Response to COVID-19: A Maternal-Fetal Perspective"
- Sabra Klein, professor, Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology, Bloomberg School of Public Health
- Rosemary Morgan, associate scientist, Department of International Health, Bloomberg School of Public Health
- Alba Miranda Azola, co-director of the Johns Hopkins Post-Acute COVID-19 Team and assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation
- Chimére Smith, Long COVID advocate, author, and speaker
The symposium is from 9 a.m. to noon. Please join lunch and the announcement of the Donna Vogel Women's Health Champion Award recipient and the Sex and Gender Seed grant awardees, following the symposium, from noon to 2 p.m.
