STEM Activities for Earth Day for Middle School Girls

Description
Johns Hopkins' Ready Set Design! program is a free program targeted toward middle school girls, grades 6 to 8. The goal is for women in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) to encourage more young women to explore opportunities in engineering and design, especially at an age where they might become discouraged in math and science.
This event has the mission of supporting and encouraging young women in STEM in Baltimore City who will work through creative and fun Earth Day STEM activities such as a solar oven and wind turbine. A parent or guardian must be present throughout the event.
The Ready Set Design! program is hosted by the School of Engineering's Center for Educational Outreach.
