Description

Over 90% of Indonesia's total population has access to universal health coverage, greatly reducing out-of-pocket health care spending. Indonesia is benefited by a single-payer national health care insurance, offering access to wide range of services to all population. This differs from the approximately 64% of people living in the U.S. with private health care insurance, with public schemes limited to certain populations. The health care service offered within such coverage also vary between Indonesia and the U.S.

Join Ryan Rachmad Nugraha, MPH '19, a public health physician and health economist, and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for a conversation on the difference between health care and coverage between two countries.
