AfterWards, a program in narrative medicine, presents Jonathan D. Moreno, professor at the University of Pennsylvania, who will speak about his memoir-biography of his father, Impromptu Man: JL Moreno and the Origins of Psychodrama, Encounter Culture, and the Social Network.

Jonathan Moreno is the 2018 recipient of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities lifetime achievement award. He is a member of the National Academy of Medicine, and author or co-author of numerous books, including Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven but Nobody Wants to Die: Bioethics and the Transformation of Health Care in America (2020). He has served as staff member or advisor on three presidential commissions and has been called "the most interesting bioethicist of our time" by the American Journal of Bioethics.
Directions
The Owens Auditorium is located at 1550 Orleans Street in the breezeway between CRB-1 (Bunting Blaustein) and CRB-2 (Koch Cancer Research Building), just south of the Outpatient Center and next to the Thursday farmers market at the Jefferson St. Circle. Enter through CRB-1 which is the building closer to Broadway and right past the parking lot for Wilmer Eye Surgery. Once inside CRB-1, walk past the security desk, make a right to walk past the elevators and walk straight through to the breezeway. You will see the Albert H. Owens Reception area through the glass doors on the left.
