Women of Whiting: Women in STEM Symposium 2023

Description

Women of Whiting presents the Women in STEM Symposium 2023, which will feature leaders from academia, industry, and government in keynote talks and panel sessions with a focus on creating your narrative as a woman in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Speakers this year are Juliet Hart, Rita Colwell, Tanisha Pelham, Kelan Hlavaty, Amanda Garcia, and Tatjana Trcek. The event will conclude with a networking and poster session encouraging students to submit and present their work.

The symposium will be in a hybrid format, with in-person events taking place on the Homewood campus, and virtual components conducted via Zoom. Lunch included for in-person participants, and there are raffles for all attendees.
