Description
Len Necefer is a climate change activist and founder of NativesOutdoors, a sporting goods and advocacy organization that supports Indigenous people. Necefer launched the company in 2017 as a social media project to highlight the stories and photos of Native people in outdoor recreation to address the lack of representation of Indigenous people in the outdoor industry. The organization has expanded to provide advisory and consulting services to the outdoor industry on topics within the intersection of tribes, public lands, and outdoor recreation. NativesOutdoors is working directly with tribal governments, community organizations, and individuals to increase access to outdoor recreation and connecting resources and opportunities within the outdoor industry.
This is the fourth and final installment of the 2022 Milton S. Eisenhower Symposium, a student-run lecture series at the Johns Hopkins University. The symposium aims to deliver world-class speakers to the university and its surrounding community. All events are free and open to the public.
