Description

Whether you are a rising senior preparing for your own graduate school search and application process or simply exploring the possibility of graduate school, this virtual four-day event hosted by the Life Design Lab will prepare you with the skills and knowledge to successfully navigate the journey ahead.

Each day is designed to spotlight the wisdom and advice of faculty, mentors, and current graduate students, and participants will have an opportunity to workshop their application material with direct support from Life Design Educators.

Participants can sign up for all four days for the full boot camp experience or choose the days and topics that work best for them.

Schedule:

  • Daily: Stop by Office Hours with questions (1-3 p.m.)
  • May 23: Welcome: Designing Your Grad School Search and Experience (3 p.m.), Where Should I Apply? (3:30 p.m.), What I Wish I Knew — Grad Panel (4:45 p.m.)
  • May 24: What Are Admissions Committees Looking For? (3:30 p.m.), CV or Resume: Which Is Appropriate? (4:45 p.m.)
  • May 25: The Art and Science of Storytelling (3:30 p.m.), How to Write a Compelling Personal Statement (4:45 p.m.)
  • May 26: Asking for Recommendations (3:30 p.m.), How to NOT Pay for Grad School (4:45 p.m.)
