Description

The Johns Hopkins Malaria Research Institute will host "Malaria in Africa: Translating Science into Practice" on World Malaria Day. The symposium will feature presentations by the five NIH International Centers of Excellence for Malaria Research that are actively working in Africa (Mali, Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo, Zimbabwe, and Zambia).

Matshidiso Rebecca Moeti, the World Health Organization regional director for Africa, will present one of the keynote addresses. Additional speaker confirmations are forthcoming.

Abstracts for poster consideration are due by March 28, 2022.

Organized by William Moss, Matthew Ippolito, and Amy Wesolowski at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
