Eccentric Primitivisms is a workshop featuring speakers from Johns Hopkins and beyond with a keynote address by Simon Gikandi, professor and chair of English at Princeton University.
Monday, April 4
- 10 a.m. - noon: Opening remarks and session 1 with Alys Moody, Rafael Cardoso, and Václac Paris
- 1 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.: Session 2 with Laura Di Bianco, Michael Kunichika, Joyce Cheng, and Marina Bedran
- 2:45 - 3:15 p.m.: Coffee break
- 3:15 - 4:15 p.m.: Roundtable on Samuel Spinner's Jewish Primitivism with Ben Etherington, Rochelle Tobias, Samuel Spinner, and Douglas Mao
- 4:30 - 4 p.m.: Keynote lecture, "Primitivism Against Primitivism"
Tuesday, April 5
- 10 a.m. - noon: Session 3 and concluding discussion with Sophia Shoulson, Sarah Warren, Samuel Spinner, and Ben Etherington
