Description

The School of Nursing Birthing Companions program offers support before birth, during labor and birth, and after birth with their continuous presence and complimentary interventions. They provide emotional, informational and physical support to those giving birth and serve as an advocate during the entire birthing process. This program trains student nurses to serve in a doula role, receiving doula training from a DONA-certified trainer. This session will provide an overview of the program and the services offered.
