Description

A panel of Black faculty who are experts in different disciplines to facilitate a conversation on what has changed, stayed the same, and the promises made by the Biden administration to the Black community. Discussion is encouraged on the persistent issues inflicting the Black community and the kind of leadership we need in order to begin to see meaningful change.

Topics are likely to include presidential appointments, economic policy, policing, and general civil discourse during the Biden administration.

The panelists want to truly get to the root of the promises President Joe Biden was elected on and examine how his administration has fared.

  • Lawrence Jackson, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor in English and History
  • Vesla Weaver, Bloomberg Distinguished Professor of Political Science and Sociology
